How you can become a true part of this story collection

Believe it or not, quite a bit of thought and fun goes into the names of my main characters. (Noah Morgan, for example, is in charge of an ark-like program during the events of the Stasis Collection.)

That said, there are a lot of background characters — literary extras, if you will — that get their names assigned from a list that I maintain. These are the park rangers, truck drivers, and lab assistants of the worlds I create.

As I started building this site, I thought this could offer a unique opportunity for us to get a bit closer, dear reader. If enjoy my writing, and would like to literally become a part of these stories, you can volunteer your name for use below. Do this by leaving a comment with the name and — if you feel like it — an occupation, character quirk, or defining attribute you’d like this character to have.

If I see an opportunity to include you in an upcoming piece, I’ll pull from this list down in the comments. I do have some rules, though:

• First names, or nicknames only

• You can only put down your name, no entering on someone else’s behalf

• You have to actually be a subscriber to enter your name

• There is no payment or prize for being included; all of this is strictly for fun

• By putting your name down, you’re agreeing that it’s cool for me to include in the story. No take-backs

The Stasis Collection is actually written already. So there will be a bit of lag time before any names start appearing.
