Short story — A painter forced to complete an endless stream of commissions, must escape the confines of his purgatory-like studio. The alternative is a fate worse than death.
Somehow the repetitive torment was always one of the scariest parts about hell for me. Could I be forced to hate something I loved through sheer repetition?
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Too bad this company didn’t use their powers for good. I’d pay good money to be able to get a lifetime worth of work done in two days…
I’m still not over the fact that we were all sold a line that automation would replace labor intensive tasks so that we could focus on culture and creativity… now the creativity and culture is getting automated🤦♂️
Oof. Disturbing to the core, but so well done!

Thanks for reading!
Really great/creepy "how the sausage is made" vibes. Love the twist and turns...gotta watch out for those "lucrative art opportunities"

The productivity is desirable. However, I'd like to avoid any experimental medical devices inserted into my spine.
This is a valid concern. I’ll circle back with you when the wireless prototype comes out 🤣
I'll be expecting your call 😂
Cool man, interesting take on the future problem of AI! Keep it up, meat bag.
Thank you, fellow meat bag!
Quite a twist! Good fiction that simultaneously manages to capture what's wrong with trying to get AIs to do creative work.

Ohhhh, dark. I love it. Nicely written. Definitely not what I expected at the beginning.
Thank you very much! Tried to shake things up a bit with this one :-)
