Short Story — A cunning detective must solve the mind-blowing murder of Geist Industries’ lead engineer, right before the launch of their biggest product yet.
I'm glad you liked it! As a huge fan of Sci-fi, I've really come to love the stories that only explain what they absolutely have to. "As you know... (lengthy explanation of technology).." gets old real fast.
Originally, I had this outline for a long noir story where he actually cracks the case. Trouble was, the more time you spend with the guy, the more obvious the betrayal seemed. Sometimes shorter is better.
Daaamn, this was good. I love cyberpunk!
Glad you enjoyed! I have a part 2 in the works, coming out Thursday!
Re: cyberpunk, I always loved the Matrix, and the idea you could download skills. Thought it would be a fun concept to turn on its head
Perfect time to subscribe to your newsletter, then!
Glad to have you here!
This was fantastic. I love the twist. Simply amazing.
Thanks! It was tough to pack into such a short story, so I’m glad it worked for ya!
Really great!
Thank you so much!
That was dark and devious.
Glad you liked it!
Fuck yeah that was dope! Awesome little ending, nice and minimal telling, and good dialogue!

😳 Failing with words right now.
Aha I hope that means you liked it!
I sure did! It’s the type of fiction that draws me in.
Oh yay! I’m currently cooking up a bite sized sequel! I’ll be sure to let you know when that comes out
Wow. I wasn't expecting it to get so dark! Nice.
Glad you liked it! Trying to play around with the futuristic detective storyline, bundled in a tiny package :-)
