“Eddie? Eddie, where the hell are you?” The dispatcher’s voice came out strained, and panicked from the dash-mounted CB radio.

The tow truck driver turned to his passenger. “Do me a favor Brian and pry that off, would you?”

“Sure thing.”

The plastic mounts creaked, then snapped.

Eddie lowered the passenger side window. “Just toss it out, would you?”

“Sure we don’t need it?”

“We might, but it’s also bugged and tracked.”

“Say no more.” Brian heaved the hunk of plastic and metal out the window and into the storm.

“What’s the plan now?”
