Settlement Offer

A man loses his money, custody, and eventually his time in a bitter divorce settlement. Now he's determined to win them back by any means necessary.

For those who loved this short story in its original form, and “Restitution,” I wound up writing a bit more to extend the narrative. I’m releasing it now for my paying readers.

I’m wrestling with a pretty significant decision as I piece together the Stasis anthology. I don’t like including two stories that are extremely similar. But the reader response to “I deserve the Divorce…” has been overwhelmingly positive.

On the other hand, “Restitution,” is probably one of my favorite stories I’ve ever written. I don’t just want to cast it out.

I am considering a rewrite, where Restitution is a direct continuation of IDTD. I’d love to know what you think.
