I really appreciate you saying so. I know that bad dialogue is one of those things that yanks you right out of the story… so it’s good to know I had this one down
Absolutely! I’m glad you went with your guy about whether to continue the story. Maintaining the mystery is one of my favorite things about short fiction!
I sketched out what a follow up plot may look like -- Cathy going to the home of Rebecca, uncovering more of her recipes and unearthing secrets about her witchcraft before finally plotting some confrontation with the killer she created. Ultimately, I hated it. And I hated writing it. I couldn’t shake the feeling I was ruining the mystery and detracting from what actually made the story tense.
I like that this story was a (relatively) quick and tidy tale about the consequences of pursuing your own version of Justice.
As of right now, I have no plans to release a second part of Cathy’s story. I hope the explanation at least sates your curiosity!
Wow! This is...something else, for sure. There's something so visceral about Caraway's suffering. It almost makes the reader root for him.
The Killer Cookbook; what an idea. People would line up in droves to buy that.
Thank you! I may move forward with my plans to flesh this story out and add the remaining 5 recipes!
Excellent, really excellent. Original too, bravo. I'd buy a copy of the Killer Cookbook.
Thank you so much for reading!
Well done!
Thanks Miles!
Great dialogue at the beginning. Nice pacing, cadence and language.

Yes! It did the opposite, it moved me along quickly like a current in a river.
Kind of you to say. Thanks for reading!

Thank you very much! I’m glad you weighed in!
This is so awesome! Is there going to be a part 2??
Thank you for reading! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
